Set up Brønnøysundregistrene lookup

Enrich Norwegian B2B calls with registry data (industry, financials and board roles) from one toggle.

Your rep is about to call a company they've never heard of. Brønnøysundregistrene already knows its industry, its turnover and who sits on its board. This integration puts that in the pre-call briefing.

There's nothing to authenticate. BRREG is a public Norwegian registry, so setup is one toggle and, if you want it, one optional widget.

Only useful for Norwegian companies, since everything here keys off a Norwegian organisation number.

Before you start

  • A Swiftner admin account.
  • Something that knows the organisation number of the company being called. That's usually your CRM or dialer integration. If you don't have one, turn on the manual lookup widget in step 2 and reps can paste it in themselves.

Step 1: Turn it on

Open Admin → Integrations, click Add, and pick Brønnøysundregistrene.

That's it. Company lookup is live. There are no credentials to enter and no approval screen to sit through.

From now on, when Swiftner knows the organisation number for a call, the briefing gains the company's name, what it does, its financial figures and its registered roles. When it doesn't know the number, the section is left empty rather than filled with a guess.

Step 2: Decide about the manual lookup widget

In the settings drawer there's a toggle for the manual lookup widget.

Turn it on and reps get a "Look up a company" card on the extension's Start screen. They paste in an organisation number or company name before dialing, and the briefing is primed the same way it would be from a CRM.

This is the answer for teams selling without a CRM, or for the call that came in from a list rather than a system. If every call already arrives with an organisation number attached, leave it off and keep the Start screen simple.

Step 3: Tune how the coach uses the data (optional)

The drawer has a talking-points prompt field. Whatever you write there is appended to the talking-points instructions whenever a call has registry context attached.

This is where you say things like "mention their industry's compliance requirements when the company is in construction" or "don't quote turnover figures back at the customer." Leave it blank and the default applies.

There's a Try it section below where you can paste in a real organisation number and see exactly what Swiftner would produce. Use it, because it's faster than tuning the prompt against live calls.

What reps see

In the pre-call briefing, when the organisation number is known:

  • What the company does, in plain language
  • Financial figures from the registry
  • Registered roles, meaning who the board and management are

Which matters most depends on what you sell. A rep calling a 12-person company about payroll software cares about headcount and turnover; one calling about board liability insurance cares about the roles list.

Pairs well with

News lookup builds directly on this. It needs a registry record to attach news to, so it does nothing unless BRREG lookup is on. If you want both, turn this one on first.

Troubleshooting

No company data on any call. Swiftner doesn't have an organisation number for those calls. Check whether your CRM or dialer integration supplies one, and turn on the manual lookup widget as a fallback.

No company data on one call. Either the number wasn't found in the registry, or the company is registered somewhere other than Norway. Try the number in the Try it panel. If it comes back empty there, the registry doesn't have it either.

Data looks out of date. It's the registry's data, and annual accounts are filed annually. Nothing to fix on our side.
